Becky & Jason | West Wales Wedding Photography

Becky & Jason got married on 6th August 2016 in Jason’s home town of Drefach in West Wales. This was my type of wedding, a ceremony at the local church and then a party back at the house with family and friends. The day started off getting lost in the lanes the way to cover bridal preps in Drefach. My sat nav got me to church but then lost signal so I had no idea where Becky was getting ready. So I stopped at a local garage and was able to use their wi-fi to get a connection and pop the post code in (I would like to thank the guys at the garage as they saved my day :-)). So with my signal back I arrived at the the farmhouse where Becky was getting ready. Once I had captured shots of all wedding details and the morning mayhem I drove 5 minutes down the road a lovely little church where Jason was waiting. In front of the church was his pride and joy – a restored Volkswagen Beetle that he had put back together with the help of his best man (not bad for someone whose not a mechanic and just followed the Haines manual).

After the ceremony I headed off with the happy couple to a house where there were beautiful landscaped lawns and fields. Becky and Jason were allowed to have photos taken in the grounds whilst the owners were away. Now it was time to head off to Jason’s parent house for the reception. Jason’s parents had moved to Drefach from the city and built a lovely house in the country. A large Marquee had been erected in their garden and the guests were enjoying the drinks and the entertainment provided by Tim Somerfield (Aka Aaron Ninja), a very talented musician who had everyone dancing throughout the night. This wedding was one of third weddings this year where I felt party of the family. It didn’t feel like I was working, It was like I was there to capture the moments and atmosphere of a party of some very close friends. This family knows how to party as you will see from the photos. It was a fantastic day spent in the company of great people. I hope these photos do their day justice and they will remember this day forever as I will.
