Sam & Tom met whilst travelling throughout Australia, fell in love and decided to get married back home in Wales from where Tom is originally from. I was recommended to Tom and Sam by their friends James and Louise whose wedding I had previously covered. Its always nice to be a recommended south wales wedding photographer as instantly there is a rapport with the couple.
After lots of emails back and fore I met with Sam and Tom when they were back visiting in the UK and they told me they decided to book their wedding at The Celtic Manor Resort on 30th June 2015. They got married in the The Rooftop Garden and Barbecue Terrace at the main hotel which suited this couple perfectly as it was lovely outdoor setting views stretching beyond the Severn Estuary in the distance.
It was a lovely sunny day and after the ceremony they mingled with their guests outside the reception. We were then taken for a drive around the golf course to give the happy couple some time to themselves whilst I tried to capture some natural moments of them without being noticed. Being a wedding photographer in South Wales allows you to photograph couples in some the best welsh scenery and this was the case at the resort, from sweeping vistas to great oak trees, but watch out for those golf balls as when shooting on a golf course you have to watch your back 🙂
After a drive around the course we headed off back to the hotel for the reception which was held Celtic Manor Golf Club with views of the golf course and hotel. As the sun set the party began and I captured the very cool first dance and then into the evening as the drinks started to flow. Here are selection of some of my favourite images from the day.
