James and Emma got married on 16th September 2016 at Peterstone Lakes Golf Club near Cardiff in South Wales. I was recommended to J & E by one of my past wedding couples Sian and Rhys who got married the year before. Having shot S and R’s wedding it was nice to catch up with all their friends again.
The day started off with bridal preperations at Emma’s mother house. This is a nice time to capture photos of the dress and all the details plus the usual morning mayhem. Once fun and natural photos of the girls was taken, I headed off to the golf club for the start of the wedding day. Peterstone Lakes is a stunning 18 hole golf course set in acres of peaceful Welsh countryside, just outside Cardiff. The hotel is set among open countryside surrounded by natural waterways and is adjacent to the Severn estuary.
Emma arrived in style in a vintage wedding car and looking absolutely stunning. She walked down the aisle with her very proud and equally stunning mother. After a lovely ceremony everyone headed outside for the drinks receptions and the group photos. The golf course provided some lovely landscaped grounds to capture the wedding portraits and having the bonus of jumping in a golf cart to drive to the best locations was fun.
