It was a great pleasure to be back at Nash Point Lighthouse to cover the wedding of Paul & Claire. If you are looking at getting married at a quirky venue then the lighthouse doesn’t disappoint. With it windy staircase, round ceremony room, working light, this lighthouse is totally unique. It is the only working lighthouse, within the entire British Isles, which has been a licensed premises for holding Weddings and Civil Partnerships. Paul and Claire have a passion for lighthouses and that’s why they travelled down with their family and friends from Nottingham to enjoy a very special day. Paul and Claire applied their own creative flair to the day from Claire’s button bouquet, button earrings and shoes to Paul’s lego campervan and wedding cake (Paul loves lego :-)).
The ceremony took place on the middle floor of the lighthouse – Don’t ask me how many steps but one thing I can tell there are lot, the amount of times I went up and down I should be fit as a fiddle. After the ceremony we had a few photos around the lighthouse grounds and on the cliffs overlooking the beach below then headed off to the beach for a few relaxed portraits. We then took a short drive to Llantwit Major for a couple more photos around the village before going to Illtud’s 216 Restaurant and Bar for the the wedding breakfast.
Hope you enjoy these from photos from Paul and Claire’s day and if you are thinking of having your wedding at Nash Point Lighthouse and you would like me as your wedding photographer then please get it in touch.
