R & B got married on 24th June 2017 at Manorbier Castle in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. After an early morning start I arrived in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby for the start of the wedding day. Bex and her bridesmaids were busy having their hair and makeup done, the dresses were ready and the flower girl had arrived. Once everyone was ready I headed off to Manorbier to meet the nervous groom.
Manorbier Castle is a Norman castle located in the village of Manorbier, five miles south-west of Tenby situated overlooking a beautiful unspoilt beach. When I arrived all the guests were mingling around the grounds and exploring all the wonders of the castle. Ben and the groomsmen were busy making sure everything was perfect for when Bex arrived. Bex was surprised with a trip to the castle in a lovely old Bentley wedding car and so arrived in style with her proud father.
After a beautiful ceremony in the old vaulted chapel everyone went outside for drinks and canapes in the castle grounds. Manorbier has lots of quirky spots for couple portraits so we explored the castle and got creative from tight walled corridors to amazing views over to the beach.
Now usually the next stage in the wedding day is the speeches but this this was no ordinary wedding and the guests entertained by the enigmatic Howard Wing. This is the first time I had seen Howard Wing do his thing but what can I say, this guy can get everyone on their feet singing and howling with laughter. This made my job a lot easier allowing me capture natural and fun photos of the wedding guests enjoying themselves. If you haven’t seen any of Howard’s work go check him out at http://www.howardwing.co.uk.
Once the party train and gone out and back into the Gazebo it was time for everyone to take a deep breath and sit down for round two – the speeches and later on some monkey business with guys. Seriously this was one fun party. It was time for some fresh air so I went for a quick stroll with R & B and the wedding party for some natural shots on the beach. It was a shame it was so windy but it didn’t put these guys off as we captured some incredible photographs. Now there is a usually a lull in the night before the first dance but the party carried on going until I headed off into the night back home.
I have to say this has to be one of the most fun and entertaining weddings I have had the pleasure to cover and it was wonderful meeting lots of new people. I want to give a big shout out to Adam Wing who was the videographer on the day and kept me company through this madcap wedding. It was a pleasure working with you and hopefully we will meet up again in the future. You can check Adam’s work out here http://www.adamwingfilms.com
