Ali & Lauren initially planned to get married in Wales but Covid put a stop to that but they weren’t going to be deterred. When I spoke to Lauren she mentioned that life is too short and felt that if she didn’t get married this year and something happened to Ali she would not be able to live with herself. So with the restrictions on numbers (at the time was 30 in England which was more than in Wales) they looked for a venue in Cornwall. Then another spanner in the works happened. England reduced their numbers allowing only 15 guests at weddings. Again this didn’t stop them and they found an intimate boutique wedding venue called Treseren that which was perfect for a small and beautiful micro wedding.
Treseren, meaning “homestead under the stars”, is a beautifully renovated Georgian country house in St. Newlyn East, Cornwall run by the amazing Emma and Paul. Steeped in history this boutique country house is perfect for a wedding for 2 or 20 people. Nestled in large well-established gardens and situated 10 minutes from Hollywell Bay, Treseren is perfect location for an intimate and small wedding.
Ali and Lauren fell in love with this venue and planned the most magical wedding day. Starting the day, Ali and his groomsmen braved the cold and went surfing at Hollywell Bay whilst Lauren stayed in the warmth with the girls back at Treseren. The ceremony was a personal and intimate affair, with friends and family who couldn’t make it joining them on Zoom. After the ceremony a drinks reception was held in the grounds and I took Lauren and Ali off to Hollywell Bay for some portraits on the beach.
After brushing the sand off everything, we headed back to Treseren for some amazing food prepared by Chef Natasha. This was my first time at Treseren and I would like to thank Emma and Izzy for their kind hospitality and for Chef Natasha for the amazing food. The big shout out goes to Ali and Lauren for being the stars of the day from making me feel welcome, braving the weather for amazing photos on the beach and just being an ace couple.
