Fonmon Castle Wedding Photography – Becks & James
Becks & James got married at Fonmon Castle in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan. Built in 1180, this unique home has been owned by just two families in its 800 year history. What can I say about this wedding apart that it was colourful and fun from start to finish. Purple, green and orange cravats, Multi-colour wedding shoes, a purple beard and neon drum sticks. This wedding was cool.
They got married on a cold November day with mist hanging in the air but we were lucky enough for it to stay dry. The day started off with bridal preps at the castle where Becks got ready in one of the beautiful rooms just off the library where the ceremony was taking place. The Library has stunning Rococo plasterwork and gilded mirrors, the Library is a delicate and light filled room and perfect for any wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony everyone headed off into the dramatic Hall & elegant Drawing Room to listen to the male voice choir and have drinks. The gardens at Fonmon Castle are perfect for your wedding with large lawns in front of the castle where the happy couple can mingle with guests and play lawn games. I always like let the bride and groom and have time ot with each other. This is 30 minutes out of their day where they walk hand in hand, say hello as husband and wife and just enjoy each others company. During those moments I capture some romantic, natural wedding photographs of the both of them around the castle grounds.
We then headed back in out of the cold for the speeches, cocktails, fun photos with guests and the all important first dance. It was then the turn of James who is a talented drummer and surprised Becks with a drum solo which then got the guests up on their feet for more dancing. Once the histeria calmed down, Matt Cook (Check him out Facebook) an amazing soloist and 2015 Grammy nominee kept the guests entertained with beautiful melodies and songs. It was then time for some creative shots, so we headed off outside for sparklers and finished the evening off with some incredible burgers and chips. Now this was one classy wedding 🙂
