From Minnesota to Brecon
Corinne and Kris live in Minnesota in the U.S and were planning a trip over to Wales. They got in touch about having a photoshoot whilst they were here.
Corinne then went on to tell me that it was for their 25th Wedding Anniversary and she would be wearing the dress she wore at her wedding in 1999. She would also like the shoot to take place outdoors somewhere in Brecon.
Now I’m not going to lie my creative brain starting going into overtime, thinking couple, wedding dress, on top of Pen-y fan, or climbing waterfalls. It’s going to be awesome.
But then we had to think logistically of getting Corinne to hike in her 25 year old wedding dress, so maybe not a good idea to climb a mountain.
In the end they booked a quaint cottage overlooking the Brecon Beacons. I wanted to capture the story of their mini adventure in Wales. Starting with how they were with each other chilling in their cottage, then getting dressed into their wedding outfits, exchanging new rings and then stunning portraits of the two of them celebrating 25 years of marriage.
You can see from the photos that these two are still madly in love, a little crazy and so funny. I was so humbled that they chose me to photograph one of the most important milestones of their lives.
