Their beautiful story
Chris and I have been side by side growing up. We were in the same year in the same high school, and went on to attend the same university and even graduated in the same year. (Can be see in our school pics we had up on the day) But it took us until 7 years ago for our paths to finally cross working in a hotel together in Conference & Banqueting, and we’ve been together ever since. Four years ago we bought our first house together and moved in.
The proposal
I woke up on our first morning in our new house to find rose petals leading me down the stairs to Chris in the living room down on one knee with a ring.
Their wedding day
Chloe and Chris got married 16th June 2017 at The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge. Cowbridge was described in The Sunday Times after officially being named the Best Place to Live in Wales as a “popular and fashionable market town” in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. The Bear Hotel is a historic coaching inn which dates from the 12th century, this traditional hotel with stone walls and timber-beamed ceilings is 7.5 miles from Dyffryn Gardens and 13 miles from Cardiff city centre.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Georgian ballroom, wedding breakfast was held in St Quentin’s Suite and photographs were taken in around the hotel and over in the physics gardens just across the road from the hotel. Cowbridge Physic Garden was originally part of the old hall gardens but has been restored glorious array of medicinal with plants and herbs, typical of physic gardens from centuries past. These gardens are beautiful for natural wedding portraits as there so many locations to choose from.
I know I say it a lot but there are some weddings you will always remember and this is one of them. You just get a great feeling that when you meet such an awesome couple you know the photos are going to be awesome as well. This day was filled with love and laughter and what could go wrong when your surrounded with amazing friends and family. I had a wonderful day photographing beautiful people, what more can I say. It was my pleasure being the wedding photographer at The Bear Hotel and I look forward to returning in the future.
