Claire & Andrew | Barn at Brynich Wedding Photography
A barn, a wedding and line dancing, what more could you want? Claire & Andrew got married on 16th July 2016 at the Barn at Brynich which is a beautifully converted 17th century hay barn set in a stunning rural location in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The barn is a Grade II listed building with its original oak beams, open fireplace and flagstone floor. All the family stayed at the cottages on site so it was nice relaxed wedding with people popping in and out of each others cottages.
On the morning of the wedding I arrived early to capture photos of the wedding location and all the finishing touches that have been months in the planning. With Claire and Andrew getting ready in the cottages it was easy to pop back and fore for shots of bridal and groom preps. Once all the family were seated in the barn, Claire, her father and the bridesmaids took a short walk from the cottages to the barn for the ceremony.
The weather held out so after the ceremony a drinks reception was held in the grounds where I was able to capture some natural pictures of wedding party. It was then time to take a walk around the grounds for couple portraits. Everybody feels awkward in front of the camera and Claire and Andrew are no exception. That’s why early on in the year we had pre wedding shoot where I took photos of them just chatting and walking. Because of this shoot they were so relaxed and chilled in front of the camera their laughter and love shined through in the photographs.
I have shot over 300 weddings but this was the first wedding where there was a CEILIDH. Great fun and all the guests got involved throwing themselves around the dancefloor. You could not stop yourself from tapping your feet. Take a look below at a story of their wedding day and if you are getting married at the Barn in Brynich in 2017 and looking for a photographer then please get in touch.
