I was so looking forward to this wedding after such a fab engagement shoot with Elena and Chris last Autumn. Time goes so quick and it only felt like yesterday that we had met up. Fairyhill was a new venue for me which means a blank canvas which allows me to get creative. Fairyhill is a luxury wedding venue situated in the Gower giving you access to stunning beaches, rolling downs, picture-perfect villages and a dramatic coastline. With its ivy adorned Grade II listed building and amazing K room set in 24 acres of grounds its the perfect venue for any wedding.
On the morning of the wedding Elena got ready in the cottages whilst Chris chilled out with his groomsmen in the main house. The ceremony took place in the incredible K room with beautiful views of the grounds. Elena’s family travelled over from Bulgaria for their special day but this meant there was a bit of a language barrier so one of Elena’s bridesmaids stepped in to be translator which made the ceremony unique and funny at the same time.
This made Christopher’s speech also interesting as he attempted it in English and Bulgarian which he did eloquently ( I think the in-laws understood as they were smiling and laughing). So what do you do when the weather is rainy and windy? You take the couple to the beach of course. After the ceremony and drinks reception, the rain cleared and we headed off to Rhossili Bay. Braving the winds and perching themselves on the edge of the cliff E and C trusted my vision to get the perfect shot.
In the evening everyone was in for a treat as Elena and Chris performed an amazing first dance (well they are dancers after all) and then all the guests hit the dancefloor for an amazing Ceilidh played by the Triple Scotch Ceilidh Band. Please enjoy the highlights below from another amazing wedding and my first and hopefully not my last Fairyhill Wedding.
