Georgina and Owain got married at St. Peter’s Church, Llanwenarth Citra, Abergavenny on 15th July 2017. This was not a typical wedding, this was a beautiful DIY rustic wedding in the welsh countryside. The wedding was held in the local church and the wedding breakfast was held in the village hall surrounded by three mountains – the Skirrid, the Blorenge and the Sugar Loaf.
Georgina’s mother Kathy and Father Howard along with family and friends helped decorate the hall and cooked home-made meals for all the guests. The hall was decorated with beautifully bunting, flower garlands and pompoms.
The day started off at Kathy’s home for few wedding preps pictures before heading off to the church. After the ceremony G & O took a short walk through the country lanes to meet all guests at the village hall for the wedding breakfast. Georgina wanted to make the most of the incredible welsh scenery. So she herself and Owain jumped in the back of their friends mini and we drove to the top of Sugarloaf mountain for portraits.
The evening reception was at Sugarloaf vineyard where everybody chilled out in the gardens enjoying the scenery. So next time your planning a rustic welsh wedding in the country give me a call. I would love to photograph your day.
